A **Service Offering** is an entity used across the [[Service Delivery (CSDM domain)|Service Delivery]] and [[Service Consumption (CSDM domain)|Service Consumption]] domains of the [[Common Service Data Model|Common Service Data Model]] (CSDM), a reference architecture developed by [[ServiceNow|ServiceNow]] that provides prescriptive guidance on service-related definitions and data modeling within the ServiceNow AI Platform. A Service Offering represents a stratification of a service into capability, availability, pricing, and packaging options, consisting of one or more service commitments that define service delivery obligations agreed between consumer and provider. Service Offerings are recorded in the service_offering table with the Service Classification attribute determining their type: [[Business Service Offering (CSDM)|Business Service Offerings]] (Service Classification of "Business Service") support [[Business Service (CSDM)|Business Services]] in the Service Consumption domain, while [[Technology Management Service Offering (CSDM)|Technology Management Service Offerings]] (Service Classification of "Technical Service") support [[Technology Management Service (CSDM)|Technology Management Services]] in the Service Delivery domain. ServiceNow recommends that every operational business or technology management service have at least one offering. Service Offerings can reference [[Service Offering Model (CSDM)|Service Offering Models]] through the model_id attribute for version-specific product definitions. Beginning with the New York release, Service Offerings may be requested through the Request Catalog and linked to catalog items. Offerings can identify subscribers by user, [[Company (CSDM)|company]], [[Location (CSDM)|location]], [[Department (CSDM)|department]], and [[Group (CSDM)|group]] for ITSM+ capabilities across the [[CSDM Service Life Cycle|CSDM Service Life Cycle]].
