**Teams** is a capability within the [[Foundation (CSDM domain)|Foundation domain]] of the [[Common Service Data Model|Common Service Data Model]] (CSDM), a reference architecture developed by [[ServiceNow|ServiceNow]] that provides prescriptive guidance on service-related definitions and data modeling within the ServiceNow AI Platform. Teams is a related list for [[Configuration item|configuration items]] in the [[Configuration management database|CMDB]] that associates a user [[Group (CSDM)|group]] to a CI based on group type, providing flexibility in tracking different types of groups assigned to a CI without adding multiple attributes to a CI form.
In the base system, the Teams related list contains group types that match the fields: Change Group, Managed by Group, and Support Group. When a group assignment is set on a CI form, that assignment is automatically synchronized with the Teams related list—for example, if an assignment group is set for an [[Application Service (CSDM)|Application Service]], a relationship record is created to represent the new group assignment. The Teams related list always shows the current settings for the various group assignments for a CI, enabling organizations to manage multiple contact groups per configuration item. This capability is new to CSDM 5 and supports the common persona of Teams within the [[Build & Integration (CSDM domain)|Build & Integration domain]], providing a centralized view of all groups responsible for a CI's change management, operational management, and support functions.
